Surfed on in
Not many recent posts. I guess there aren't many LJ-er's on WoW. Then again I haven't made any journal posts recently myself. Is there really anything that separates Gilneas from any other server?

Hot Desert Action
The war effort NPCs say that the supplies will reach Silithus today, and then someone just has to ring the gong or something. Does anyone know when this will happen? Is one of the major guilds ready to hit that action or what? I've seen posts in the main WoW community saying things like "The AQ gates open on (server) tonight at 7, etc." but it wasn't clear to me if it was something scheduled by the game or if it was truly up to the players once the event was "ready".
So what's the deal?

Technically, I'm currently in a guild but it literally consists of me, maddening
, and our alts. This doesn't really lend itself to higher-end instances and gear, so I'm considering transferring guild ownership to an alt and joining a larger guild. I'd really like to experience all of the content the game has to offer, and I could definitely use some equipment upgrades that the auction house simply doesn't allow for.
1. I'm mostly a casual player, with a family (hey, pets count!) and a *very* full-time job, so I couldn't always be available for non-stop Molten Core runs and so on.
2. I have a pretty low tolerance for "ZOMG LOLZ LEARN2PLAY STFU NUB GHEY FAGIT" etc. so I'd want a fairly "mature" guild.
3. I believe that being laid back, helpful, considerate, and silly are all things you can do while still taking the game seriously.
Given the above statements, does anyone have any recommendations for an Alliance guild on Gilneas (or Horde for that matter - can't forget the alts)? Level 60 combat/assassination rogue, 300 lockpicking, 300 elemental leatherworking, good with teamwork / coordination, etc.
the WoW.com forums seem to be down today, or I'd start looking there first, of course).

YAY PATCH DAY SERVER DEATH!
Grrrrr... and I leveled one of my alts and picked up a shitload of cooking meat before it died. They'd better not be resetting the damn thing. Note that before it went completely down, on the realm list, Gilneas was categorized as a "Full" server. Is that new, or has it been that packed for a while? I know IF gets pretty bad lag-wise, but I didn't think we were at full capacity just yet.

o look at that a gilneas community.
so hey. is this community dead or just new? I was poking around elljay and found it and joined and all that.
I have an undead priest thats level 48 named Nami and no alts. alts are for silly people. that being said i know absolutely nothing about any class besides priests.
are you all alliance? that would be sad if you were.

Question for the rogues...
When it comes to poisons...
1. What kind(s) do you use?
2. Which weapon do you use it on (main or offhand)
I used to use crippling poison a lot, but I've had a Mug O' Hurt
for several levels in my offhand (as does the wife, bless 'er - it's a conk!-fest around here) and I only really care about slowing down mobs that run away when they're near death anyway, so no more crippling poison for me. Mind-numbing and wound poison seem kinda useless to me unless you're fighting a VERY specific mob, so I haven't even picked them up beyond the first level or so.
SO. I typically use instant poison (just got level 5 - w00t!) on my main and deadly poison on my offhand since deadly will stack and has a higher chance of being applied. Does that sound about right, or am I doing this HORRIBLY HORRIBLY WRONG, OH DEAR GOD WHY??
aaaaaaaaah thank ya...Cross-posted to worldofwarcraft
